My Obsession with the Sidekick Tote

With summer winding down I thought I would share with you my little obsession that I have had this summer with the Sidekick Tote from Noodle-head http://www.noodle-head.com/. It has been the perfect bag for throwing all my extra stuff that I seem to need in the summer. Plus I love the adjustable cross body strap for running around with the kids, going to the fair.. the list goes on and on.

This pattern is a great one for someone with basic sewing skills. Anna from noodle-head has great step by step directions that are easy to follow, along with pictures of each step. The one problem I did run into is that my two local big box craft stores did not carry the hardware for the adjustable strap. So that is something you might need to take into consideration and order off of Etsy or Amazon.

I think this tote calls for some fun fabric, so on two of them I used Birch Organic fabric in chevron and Girl Cruiser from the Avalon Collection which has been discontinued. Which just sucks lemons because the bikes are so cool. The third one was made out of After the Rain and Cheerful Echo from the Gleeful Limited Edition Collection, which you can get at my Etsy shop www.etsy.com/shop/SewOnTheEdge.

Hope you are able to spend some time with family and friends this Labor Day weekend. We are heading to an area campgrounds with 6 other families. Should be a great time for us and the boys.
